MV7i - SHURE
20th March 2025
Commissioned by Shure to create some social media content advertising the MV7i and demonstrating it’s newest features. I focussed on showing the product in a way that was unique to pair with a unique microphone. Taking advantage of it’s built in audio interface and instrument input on the rear of the microphone, I sent the OP1’s signal (via microcosm) into the MV7i’s input, and also a split the signal into an amp. I then used the microphone on the amp to gradually blend in distortion.
Theremin - Stylophone

After working with Stylophone to produce some social media content for their Gen X-1 and Beat. They reached out to send me their latest product, Theremin. A budget friendly recreation of the iconic Theremin. I was particularly drawn to the slider feature. In the clip below, I used a cassette microphone on the speaker to add some additional texture to the sound of the synth, before running it through my eurorack system.
Sportswear Autumn/Winter ‘24 Adverts - Fluidity

Composed 3 short compositions for Instagram and TikTok based adverts for sportswear brand, Fluidity.
These clips were influenced by Outdoor/Nature scenes, Studio/Gym settings, and City/Urban environments. Each influence was appropriately composed using sounds that I felt were relevant. The clip below was centered around a patch on my synth with very pure and clean tones, pitched up and ran through the Mutable Instruments’ Clouds to add a shimmering effect to support the premium feel of the piece.
Byw a Bod - WRKHOUSE

Rework for WRKHOUSE’s ‘Byw a Bod’ for the limited edition version of their debut EP, ‘Out of the Blue’.
Based around the stems from the original track, I recorded various segments to cassette to add a layer of grit and noise. A lot of the samples were sent through the panharmonium by rossum electro-music to add the electronic element. The song closes out with a huge electronic outro centered around the polybrute and various resampled versions of Lewys’ vocals.
Expression - Micromoon

Collaboration track for Micromoon’s “Collaboration’s I” album, released through London based label, Lost Wisdom.
Expression is an ambient track to close off the album, made using various samples provided by Micromoon. Alongside this, I added various layers of synths and tape to change the texture and style of the track.

Filmed on the final day of 2023, I packed up my eurorack setup and some tape machines to carry out a filmed improvised performance for AUT.
I prepared for this with a loose set of tones in mind whilst leaving the length and composition of the track to chance. We did roughly 5 different takes over the day due to the limited availability of sunlight and this was the end result.
RV‘s Warped Quartet

I wanted to create an instrument that represents the short pieces of music I create on Instagram.
Inspired by tape loops, modular synthesizers and live instruments. I recorded 3 octaves of a quartet, ran them through my circuit bent dictaphone, and then finally processed them with various eurorack modules.

Alt Sounds From Bristol - Caraboo Loops

Recently I composed a piece entirely on modular synthesizers and spoke about it with Caraboo Projects. The goal was to compose a piece about Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge using only descriptive words.

Screens increasingly dominate our online interactions with people and cities. Should audiences have to, or want to turn screens off, how might they sense the colours or shapes that are displayed in their virtual worlds? Taking audio as a starting point, the episode traces my journey as collaborators and I pursue the challenge of remotely experiencing the visual impressions of Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge through sound."
MIDI3D MoCap Glove - Synertial Technologies

In collaboration with Synertial Technologies, I assisted in the development and testing of their MIDI3D MoCap glove. I focussed on it’s integration with hardware synthesizers. In this clip, I used the MIDI3D glove to output MIDI to the ornament and crime, this then sends CV data to the morphagene to manipulate a sample depending on which way my hand is facing.
